Fair Housing Statement
Our commitment to equal opportunity in housing for all.
Equal Housing Opportunity Commitment
The Selleck Group at KW City Views Realty is committed to compliance with all federal, state, and local fair housing laws. We do not discriminate against any person because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, familial status, disability, or any other protected class.
All real estate advertised herein is subject to the Federal Fair Housing Act, which makes it illegal to advertise "any preference, limitation, or discrimination because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, or national origin, or intention to make any such preference, limitation, or discrimination."
Your Fair Housing Rights
Under the Fair Housing Act, you have the right to:
- Equal treatment — You cannot be denied housing or treated differently based on your membership in a protected class.
- Non-discriminatory advertising — All housing advertising must comply with fair housing laws and not express any preference or limitation based on protected characteristics.
- Reasonable accommodations — Housing providers must make reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities.
- Freedom to choose — You have the right to choose where you want to live without interference or steering based on protected characteristics.
Federal, State, and Local Protections
The Fair Housing Act (Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968, as amended) protects against discrimination in the sale, rental, and financing of housing. New Jersey's Law Against Discrimination (N.J.S.A. 10:5-1 et seq.) provides additional protections. Bergen County and all municipalities within our service area are subject to these laws.
Protected Classes
Federal law protects against discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, familial status, and disability. New Jersey state law provides additional protections for ancestry, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, and source of lawful income.
